Franchise Fees
The County of Santa Clara requires that any person or corporation, except those granted special privileges by law of the State of California, that desires to make use of any County street or County highway within the County for the purposes of erecting or installing therein or thereon any facility shall be required to obtain from the County a franchise authorizing such use and pay appropriate fees to the County. For more information, please see the County's Franchises Ordinance Code and the Board of Supervisors Policy 5.9.
