Mailing Instructions

Please mail payments for ALL bill types and written correspondence to:

When mailing a payment, include the payment coupon and check or money order in the return courtesy envelope provided. Write your APN and installment number on your check or money order to ensure timely processing. A return payment fee will be charged for all checks returned from the bank unpaid. If the payment is returned after the delinquent date, the County must apply the delinquent penalties as required by the California Revenue and Taxation code.

The payment envelope must be properly addressed and sent with the required postage. It will be deemed received on the date of the United States Post Office cancellation mark stamped on the envelope (Sec. 2512, R & T Code).

If a payment is sent through an independent delivery service, it must be deposited for shipment with an independent delivery service that is an Internal Revenue Service designated delivery service in a sealed envelope or package, properly addressed with the required fee prepaid; delivery of which shall not be later than 5:00 p.m. on the next business day after the delinquency date.

Note: If you submit your payment coupon(s) with your check or money order, it typically takes 2 to 5 business days to process from the date it is received in the mail. However, payments without the coupon(s) require additional time to process, delaying the payment posting.
